Battle Park Master Plan

Battle Park joined the City of Rocky Mount parks system in December 1976, over the past four decades it has well-served the citizens of Rocky Mount and the surrounding area. The City recognizes there are many citizens, groups and stakeholders that greatly enjoy and value Battle Park. The City also recognizes after decades of heavy use, the park needs renovation. To guide this renovation, the City is in the process of developing a Site-Specific Master Plan for Battle Park that will engage the citizens, groups and stakeholders. Currently the City is in the process of selecting a firm to develop the plan. Public meetings for the Master Plan should commence in late 2019/early 2020.
