After School Programs
Parents, Parents, Parents!
Are you in need of a program that offers a fun, safe, educational environment in which your child can learn and make friends?
The after school program that is located at South Rocky Mount Community Center and Booker T. Washington Community Center will cater to all of your needs. Daily, children can be picked up from their schools and bused to the afterschool programs. Here, they will participate in recreational opportunities such as daily exercise, arts and crafts, sports fitness, and educational games. They will also receive tutoring on homework that they are currently working on in school.
In addition to the above opportunities, your child will participate in sessions two days per week at each site to prepare for end of grade testing. In our Students for Success Program (S.4.S.), teachers from local schools will come together to organize study sessions that focus on every academic subject with a required EOG test at the end of the year. These sessions will stress important test taking skills such as time management, rationalization, methods of answer elimination, and healthy study habits.
With an 8:1 ratio of children to staff, your child is bound to receive all the benefits of a student striving for success! So why wait? Sign them up today!
