The city of Rocky Mount Parks and Recreation is gearing up for its busiest season of the year as Spring youth sports registration is open.

Offerings include co-ed soccer (ages 4-15), T-ball (ages 3-6), machine pitch baseball (ages 7-8), Major/Minor league baseball (ages 9-12), machine pitch softball (8 and under), player pitch softball (12 and under) and player pitch softball (16 and under).

“We are excited for the opportunity to work with the community to offer great programs this spring,” Athletics Supervisor Alex Langley said. “It is awesome to see so much activity at the sports complex, as well as all our various community parks during the spring months.”

Registration for city residents is $30 (soccer, T-ball) and $35 for baseball and softball.

Non-residents will have registration fees of $45 for soccer and T-ball and $52 for baseball and softball.

The registration deadline is Monday, February 17, and forms can be filled out via rockymountnc.gov, or in person at RM Wilson Gymnasium (311 Hill St., Rocky Mount).

Volunteer coaches also are needed. Background screening is required as well as attendance at preseason meetings.
