The Communications and Marketing Office continues to remind city of Rocky Mount residents and employees of the various locations for information regarding closures, collections, and other news important to our community.

Communication channels include the city’s website at www.rockymountnc.gov where press releases are located on the homepage under news. Information may also be found on Facebook at facebook.com/citybeat; Twitter at #cityofrockymtnc and Instagram at cityofrockymount. Residents may also stay informed by receiving our e-newsletter, City Beat. To subscribe, visit www.rockymountnc.gov and click on the “SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTER” button or visit the Communications and Marketing page and click on City Beat. Up-to-date information is also available on the C.I.T.Y. TV-19 cable channel on Suddenlink and via YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/user/CITYTV19. For community members who prefer to receive information by way of texting, text CITYBEAT to 55469 to sign up.

Specifically designed for employees, City Worker Update, the award-winning bi-weekly employee newsletter, also communicates up to date information which is distributed to all employees via email.

These are some of the no-cost mediums for information. City events and initiatives are often found on the digital billboard located on Winstead Avenue, the vinyl billboard on Benvenue Rd., the tri-vision billboard on N. Wesleyan Blvd., in digital ads and on local radio stations in Rocky Mount.
