Building on the success of the spring 2019 Job Fair, the city of Rocky Mount Parks and Recreation Department will host its summer 2019 Job Fair July 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the South Rocky Mount Community Center. Representatives from more than 20 local companies will be on hand to talk with prospective employees.

Cummins Rocky Mount Engine Plant; multiple departments in the city of Rocky Mount including Human Resources, Fire and Police; Pfizer Rocky Mount; the Rocky Mount Event Center; Action Staffing; Manpower, along with more than a dozen other businesses will have tables with information on current open positions.

Staff members from the Opportunities Industrialization Center (O.I.C) will be available to answer questions for job seekers related to resumes and job readiness.

More than 500 job seekers turned out for the inaugural Job Fair at the Booker T. Washington Community Center, and Parks and Recreation Director Elton Daniels hopes this one draws in even more of the community.

“Our staff recognized the need for this type of event earlier this year and have worked hard coordinating with the employers and the community to make the upcoming event even more successful for all involved,” explained Daniels.

The South Rocky Mount Community Center is located at 719 Recreation Dr. in Rocky Mount. For more information, please call 252-467-4903.
