STATIONS



Station #1 - 101 S. George Street
Fire Station No. 1 was originally located on the 100 Block of N.E. Main Street. It was relocated in 1964 to S. George Street. This station houses 1 Engine Company, Ladder Company, and a Squad Company. The Engine and Ladder Companies have a Captain, Fire Engineer, and 2 Firefighters. The Squad has a Fire Engineer and 2 Firefighters. It is also the offices of the Chief, Assistant Chief, Operations Chief, and the Training Division.



Originally Fire Sta. No. 2 built in 1924; this historical building located at 404 S. Church St. now serves as the Life Safety & Emergency Mgmt. Offices for the City of Rocky Mount Fire Department.



Station #2 - 824 S. Grace Street
Fire Station No. 2 was originally located at the 400 Block South Church Street. It was relocated to S. Grace Street in 1977. This station houses 1 Engine Company, which is made up of a Captain, Fire Engineer, and 2 Firefighters.



Station #3 - 901 S. Winstead Avenue
Fire Station No. 3 was originally located at 2621 Sunset Avenue. It was relocated to S. Winstead Avenue. This station houses 1 Engine Company, which is made up of a Captain, Fire Engineer, and 2 Firefighters.



Station #4 - 2054 Fenner Road
Fire Station No. 4 was originally located at 3041 North Church Street. It was relocated in 2000 to Fenner Road. This station houses 1 Engine Company, which is made up of a Captain, Fire Engineer, and 2 Firefighters.



Station #5 - 900 Springfield Road
Fire Station No. 5 is located on Springfield Road and opened in 1982. This station houses 1 Engine Company, which is made up of a Captain, Fire Engineer, and 2 Firefighters.



Station #6 - 105 Rowe Drive
Fire Station No. 6 is located at 105 Rowe Drive. It was opened in 1989. This station houses 1 Engine Company, Ladder Company, Squad Company, and the District Chief. The Engine and Ladder Companies have a Captain, Fire Engineer, and 2 Firefighters. The Squad has a Fire Engineer and 2 Firefighters. Also, Station 6 serves as an alternate Emergency Operations Center.



Station #7 - 9914 NC Highway 4
Fire Station No. 7 is located at 9914 NC Highway 4. It was opened in August 2003. This station houses 1 Engine Company, which is made up of a Captain, Fire Engineer, and 2 Firefighters. This station also serves as an office for the Rocky Mount Police Department and a community center for public meetings.
