CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY
PERMANENT CHECKING STATIONS

The Rocky Mount Fire Department joins the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in reminding parents and caregivers in Rocky Mount that all children should be placed in child safety seats, booster seats, or seat belts every time they ride in a car or truck. Remember: Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for children ages four to fourteen.

When your child outgrows his forward-facing safety seat, use a booster seat until your child is 8 years old and over 4ft/9inches tall.
