Volunteers from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC), Rocky Mount Housing Authority, the city of Rocky Mount and the community will join KaBOOM! on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at Aycock Park to transform this empty site into a kid-designed, state-of-the-art playground in just six hours.

Discussions to be held regarding search for police chief
Community input is encouraged as the Rocky Mount Police Department seeks a permanent police chief. The public is invited to participate in one of two focus groups on Wednesday, Aug. 15- from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The discussions will be held in the council chamber located on the third floor of City Hall.
