The mission of the of the City Clerk's Office is to preserve and protect the legal and historical records of the City of Rocky Mount; to utilize modern technological advances to ensure the efficient and effective retrieval of information; to ensure that the legal requirements relating matters considered by the City Council are met; to provide effective and efficient information to Departments and to the citizenry; and to serve as a link between the citizens and the Mayor and City Council.
